CBCT (3D Cone-beam computed tomography)

We offer CBCT services to dental offices in Lynnwood, WA and surrounding areas

What is CBCT?

A CBCT (3D Cone-beam computed tomography) scan uses a particular type of imaging technology to capture 150+ images of your mouth at different angles in less than a minute. These images are then digitally compiled into one three-dimensional (3D) image.

Benefits of CBCT

Dentures

A CBCT scan is much more detailed than an x-ray.

It displays all of the following at once:

  • Bone

  • Soft tissues

  • Nerves

  • Sinuses

  • Nasal cavity

  • Airway

  • Tooth decay (cavities)

  • Infections

  • Tooth root issues

  • Facial fractures or abnormal growths

  • Signs of temporomandibular joint disorder (TMJ) disorder or other jaw problems

ONE SCAN, TWO IMAGES

One scan with the Smart Plus CBCT gives you a CT and a Pano Image. This means that patients who require both images do not need to undergo two x-ray scans.
